12 3/4-inch lathe turned and hand carved bamboo magic wand. This wand started life as a much-loved bamboo cutting board, whose horizontal lines would be turned diagonally for the sake of design. I love a good diagonal grain to highlight the texture. This is one of the few wands I’ve lacquered, as I wanted to seal the grain as well as possible.
